This group will look at various aspects of local or general History - depending on the interests of the group members. The aim is to take members' interests a little further and perhaps to give a short talk on their interest - though this is by no means compulsory.

During the first half of the meeting, we have been following themes led by our facilitator. Over the last several months we have been considering the history of the USA, from the early settlers to the late 19th century. Our next theme is likely to be Trade Unions. The second half of the meeting is usually a subject which has interested a member. Recently we have shared information about the British Raj, the tithe wars in Denbighshire, history of the Liverpool Docks and the Lords of the Isle of Man and their Welsh connexion. In future we plan to consider the Vietnam war, the local pamphleteer Twm o’r Nant and the history of Poaching.

Attendance is generally between 10 and 15.
