We are a group of about a dozen people with an interest in writing who share their work in a friendly and supportive atmosphere without pressure.  We use different genres, such as fiction, autobiography, travel writing, poetry and so on.  All styles of writing are acceptable.  We are also prepared to consider the writing of people outside the group, to listen to talks from published writers and to hold workshops.  If time allows we will work on a writing exercise.  Sometimes members will come without work just to listen.  We take it in turn to host the meeting (with tea and biscuits) and to suggest a writing project.  This makes for variety and interest and we learn a great deal by meeting together and comparing notes.
