A core group of 6/8 members attend each month where we discuss the book we have read that month. The book list for each year is drawn up by the group and the library provide copies for us to collect each month. Over recent months we have read and enjoyed a range of books including Mad Honey, Purple Hibiscus and The Rose Code. This latter book being particularly timely as it is set in Bletchley Park during the 1940s and our reading of it coincided with the D Day events held earlier this year. Group members try to read the named book in advance of the meeting and our discussion is then focussed on the plot and our thoughts/views on it. At times, the discussion drifts to other related issues but participants appear to enjoy this format.

We are currently reading Foster by Claire Keegan and will collect Seven Sisters in August for discussion at the September meeting. We are an easy going and friendly group and always happy to welcome new members.
